Which bottle fits Wurvl?
Wurvl fits bottles with an opening of 19 to 23 mm, measured on the inside of the neck. Here is how to measure it yourself.
What you need
- the bottle you want to use, without its cap
- a ruler or a calliper
How to measure, step by step
- Take the cap off the bottle.
- Look straight down into the opening.
- Lay the ruler across the middle of the opening. With a calliper, put the small jaws into the opening. Slide them apart until they touch the inside wall.
- Read the measurement, from inner edge to inner edge.
- Is the measurement between 19 and 23 mm? Then the bottle fits.
Common mistakes
- Measuring across the screw thread. The screw thread is on the outside of the neck. That measurement is always larger than the opening itself.
- Measuring the cap. The cap fits around the neck. So that measurement is larger than the opening too.
- Measuring off-centre. If you do not lay the ruler exactly across the middle, you measure too little. Measure a few times, and take the largest measurement.
Why two identical bottles
Always use two identical bottles: the same type, with the same neck and the same volume. Then both sides of Wurvl sit equally firmly.
And all the water from the top bottle then fits into the bottom one.
